The 56th Annual Microwave Power Symposium (IMPI 56)

The IMPI 56 Symposium will be held June 14-16, 2022 at the DeSoto Hotel in Savannah, Georgia, USA. The Solid State RF Energy Section will host a luncheon presentation (on June 14th) and a Business Meeting (on June 17) at the same venue.

IMPI 56 Workshop on Computer ModelingThis special event will introduce the attendees to the basic theoretical and practical aspects of computer modeling for microwave power systems and processes. To take place, Tuesday, June 14th from 8am-3:30pm EDT, with a one-and-a-half hour lunch break. Full program is available here.

Solid State Activities: IMPI’s Solid State RF Energy Section will host a Solid State Luncheon and Presentation (6/14 from 12pm-1:30pm for $50) as well as an Section Business Meeting (6/17 from 9am-11am; no charge to attend).

Student Competition: Students attending the IMPI Symposium are invited to participate in the Student Paper Competition. To be eligible, the participant  (1) must be enrolled as a student (undergraduate or graduate) at the time of the work, (2) must be the primary author of the work, and (3)  must be attending the Symposium to present their work.  The winners of the Student Paper Competition will be announced during the Closing Ceremony of the IMPI Symposium.

Four $500 travel scholarships will be available to student authors for IMPI 56 and will be awarded based on students’ application responses and financial need. Applicants must submit the application form by April 18, 2022.

IMPI 56 Registration fee includes: Attendance at all in-person sessions from Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 3:30pm until Thursday, June 16th at 3:50pm, Welcome Reception, two continental breakfasts, four coffee breaks, two networking luncheons, exhibition hall access, and a printed and online copy of the conference Proceedings. Registration Add-Ons: Registrants may add a Modeling Workshop, Solid State RF Energy Luncheon & Presentation and/or Group Dinner (additional fees apply).

Spouse/Guest Program: Is available in the Online Store. Open to all Spouses/Guests of IMPI 56 Attendees and includes: Welcome Reception ($40) on 6/14, Group Dinner ($50) on 6/15, Farewell Brunch (Guest pays for own meal) on 6/16 & Covered Trolley Tour (Guest pays own fare ~$40) on 6/15.

Fees: All payments made online will incur a 3.0% credit card transaction fee (this will be added to the registration fees outlined above in the ONLINE STORE). Cancellation Policy for Registration: Should an Attendee or Exhibitor purchase a registration and be unable to attend, they should notify IMPI, by email, prior to April 8, 2022, so that an event credit may be issued to their account. Credits must be used for IMPI events within one calendar year of the date they are issued. Due to the payment schedule with the venue (hotel), no cancellation credits can be issued after April 8, 2022.

Room rates are available for $159 per night and include guestroom Wi-Fi internet; complimentary internet access will also be available in the conference area. Rooms at this special group rate are first come, first served and the rooms are selling out quickly! When making your reservation and travel plans, please note the Solid-State RF Energy Section will hold their business meeting on the morning of Friday, June 17th at the same venue.
