What Are Microwaves?

The International Microwave Power Institute (IMPI) is an international organization that promotes the use of microwave and radio frequency (RF) power for non-communications applications. Most of this web site is aimed at professionals – scientists, engineers, technicians, and managers – to facilitate interchanging scientific, technical, and business information. However, this page is aimed at the general public, and has the purpose of explaining IMPI’s field and the science behind it.
